The We Are The World spread from the September issue of American Vogue has captured my heart in every single way. Captured it, locked it in a box, and thrown away the key. I’m a serious hobby traveler (I have a personal goal of seeing 2 new countries per year and have made good on that goal nearly every year since age 17) and a true advocate for all things UN (I’m a card holding member to UNICEF and still hope to retire someday and volunteer full time for a UN non-profit). So when travel, the UN and high fashion collide, nothing…nope, nothing…excites my senses more. There are no words to express. Only obsequious little gasps of admiration. My favorite shot is Mongol Invasion – the colors, the patterns, the headpieces, the Galliano! Major applause to all those mentioned below (and those not mentioned) who put this spread together.
