As always, LOVE the new Wildfox lookbook. This collection is for Fall 2012 entitled Star Crossed Lovers.

Star Crossed Lovers is Wildfox’s alternate, modernized ending to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, The Capulet’s and Montague’s, Best Friends Who Get Away! Reminiscent of their own teenage crushes and heartbreaks, Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet, and television shows like My So-Called Life and 90210, designers Emily Faulstich and Kimberley Gordon have created a collection based on what it was like to be young and in love. With the turn of each Fall season comes a nostalgia we can all relate to, whether in teen escapades such as road trips, late nights, and skinny dipping, a best friendship bonded in a bracelet of braided yarn, or the ongoing experience of finding out what truly makes us happy.

WHAT’S PLAYING: Beach Fossils – Youth

A few months ago I finally got around to listening to Beach Fossils. After hearing about/reading about all the hype surrounding these guys, I was afraid I might be let down. I’m glad to say I wasn’t. The Beach Fossils are definitely at the top of my current playlist. For anyone in LA, they’ll be playing at the Echo on May 15th. Mark your calendars. Make it happen. I love the dreamy sound this Brooklyn based band has. So 60′s. So good.

IN STORE: Blood Is The New Black

We just got a few new styles in from our favorite artist based graphics label, Blood Is The New Black. I’m crushing hard on both of these tees. The Witchery sheer back tee is perfect for summer (no back sweat stains here!), as is the Hang Loose skeleton shaka hand muscle tank (no pit sweat stains here!). And I’m loving the dip-dye. Still. The artists for the tees are Demonbabies and Brendan Donnelly, respectively. Awesome work.

LOOK AT THIS: Alba Prat

For her second collection Alba Prat got inspired by the cold war children going to school with their leather bags and knitted accessories handmade by their grandmothers. I came across  her ‘Neon Old School’ lookbook, where disciplined pupils are represented in three different outfits, in which the bright and strong spirit of their childhood is spreading around through the neon color.
I would kill for the asymmetric neon shoes!
